Women’s Bible Study

Bible Studies are the core of the Women's Ministry at Colonial.  It is our prayer that you will join us in studying the Word of God. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119:105) There are five opportunities to attend each week September through May. Registration for fall 2018 is open. Cost is approximately $20-40 per year for material.

  • Monday Evening Study- Immeasurably More! An in-depth study of Ephesians Mondays 7:00pm-9:00pm, September - April,  Room FC 209

Do you want your walk with Christ to be more intimate, more faithful, and more obedient? God is able to do immeasurably more than you can imagine through His power in your life! This exciting study will help you understand the never-ending blessings of salvation and the extraordinary potential you have to live a victorious and faithful Christian life.
Homework: 2 lessons/45 minutes each (Spring will be finishing Ephesians)

  • Tuesday Afternoon Study - Precept Upon Precept: Hebrews Part 2, Jesus, Our High Priest Forever  Tuesdays 1:00-2:30pm, September - April, Room FC 201

Ever wondered how the New Testament connects to the Old? This fascinating study of Hebrews 5–10 explains relationships between the two covenants, the earthly and heavenly tabernacles, and the sacrifices of animals and the Son of Man. See how Jesus fulfilled the Law and the Prophets and became our great High Priest. It is not necessary to have attended Hebrews part 1 to participate.
Homework: 45 minutes/5 days (Spring will be Hebrews part 3 and then Jude)

  • Wednesday Morning Study - WOW - Women of Wisdom: Joshua and Ephesians: Victorious Living Wednesdays 9:30-11:45am (Childcare available), September - April, FC 201

“You shall march around the city… This you shall do six days.” (Joshua 6:3) March? Just march? Every battle and every success of Joshua is a testament to God’s faithfulness to keeping His promises to His people. Moses had led Israel up to the border of the Promised Land, but it was his right-hand man and successor, Joshua, who led them in the conquest and settlement.  Join us as we, like Joshua, learn to “be strong and courageous,” (Joshua 1:9) for the LORD our God is with us still today. We finish the year with eight weeks in Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, where the message of our spiritual blessings in Christ reiterates our call to respond to God the same way Joshua did: victoriously, with faith.
Homework: 2 hours/week (Spring will be finishing Joshua and then Ephesians)

  • Wednesday Evening Study - Obadiah Wednesdays 6:30-8pm , September- April, Room FC 209

Come join us for an in depth study of Obadiah, one of the twelve minor prophets in the Old Testament.  It is the shortest book in the Old Testament, but it contains the powerful boom of the mighty voice of God. There is great warning for the prideful nation of Edom, yet hope for the faithful.  Obadiah reinforces the timeless message of God's sovereignty over all the nations and the fact that God always keeps His promises.
Homework: 30 minutes/5 days (Spring will be Haggai)
