Women’s Bible Studies

Bible Studies are the core of the Women's Ministry at Colonial.  It is our prayer that you will join us in studying the Word of God.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119:105)

Summer Study:

  • Wednesday Morning Summer Study - Mundane: Spiritual Disciplines, Not Just a Habit
    Wednesday / 9:30am-11:30am / June 12 - July 31
Don Whitney speaks of spiritual disciples as being those "practices found in Scripture that promote spiritual growth among believers in the gospel of Jesus Christ." This summer, Women's Bible study will spend 8 weeks focusing on spiritual disciples that often become mundane. Our hope is that Summer 2019 becomes the summer of transforming mundane habits into a daily pursuit of godliness.

  • Wednesday Morning Study - WOW - Women of Wisdom: Judges and Ruth
    Wednesdays / 9:30-11:45am (Childcare available) / September - April / Room FC 201

W.O.W. (“Women of Wisdom”) is sound Bible study, aimed directly at Biblical literacy, with the added bonus of beautiful friendships. Join us as we learn Godly living in an ungodly time, studying Judges, Ruth and more. Daily lessons for personal study are complemented by weekly small group discussion, worship in song, and group lecture that brings it all together. May we turn from living like many in the times of Judges, “doing what is right in our own eyes,” and instead live as faithfully as Ruth in her touching words to her mother-in-law, “Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God.” (Ruth 1:16)
    Homework: 2 hours/week
