The Acts 6 Ministry exists to serve widows in the church body and was
founded on the biblical principle outlined in this passage to oversee their
care. The ministry is comprised of two distinct volunteer groups:
1) Ministry Teams (3-4 individuals) who walk alongside a widow to build an
ongoing relationship with her, and
2) Special Talent Individuals (STIs) who volunteer their skills and services
to help meet the practical needs of widows.
Deacons are assigned to Ministry Teams to assist in connecting them with
STIs, Care Ministries or other Colonial resources as necessary.
