You may turn your tassels. And with that, they are high school graduates—ready for their next adventure.

Cary-area high schools have been holding graduation ceremonies over the last several days—graduates and thankful families happily listening to Pomp and Circumstance, speeches and the often-long list of graduates’ names. This year, there are more than 40 high school graduates from Colonial, graduating from Christian, private, public and home schools. For many the next step includes attending college—Appalachian State, Biola, UNC-CH, Campbell and Duke are among the schools where graduates will be heading in a couple of months. Others will be joining the military or entering the work force.  Wherever they are headed, there are sure to be big changes.

Some graduates have grown up attending Colonial. They toddled around our nurseries; attended VBS; sang in children’s and student choirs; hit the hardwoods; and went on mission trips. Many have learned to follow Jesus at Colonial. Seeing where He leads them next will be exciting for their church family.

"I warmly congratulate all our graduates. We rejoice in God's grace in your lives and will, with great anticipation, rejoice in what He'll do in your lives in this next decade," said Aaron Miller, Student Ministries Pastor.

Congratulations Colonial Graduates! We’re proud of you. “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:6 (NAS)
