Dave McClard grew up in Alabama where he attended Jacksonville State University. After college, he served in the Air Force. After leaving the Air Force in 1993, he moved to Maryland where he met my wife, Jen. They were married in 1996 and relocated to North Carolina in 2005.
They have three children: Nathan 12, Emily 10, and a newly adopted son, Samuel, who is 8 months old. Jen homeschools their children. Dave has owned and operated an irrigation company since 2000 and is also a NC licensed irrigation contractor.
He accepted Christ while serving in the Air Force in Germany in 1991. He and Jen started attending Colonial in 2005 and became members that same year. He has served in Children's ministries, Student Ministries, Homeschool Ministries, AWANA, and he has coached soccer for Sports Ministries. He and Jan are looking forward to working with Pastor Scott Wylie in the Adoption & Orphan Care ministries.
One of his favorite scriptures is Matthew 11:28-30: “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOUL.”
