Charles Lee grew up in northeastern NC, in Plymouth. He joined the NC Army National Guard in 1983 and has worked full time for the Guard since 1985. He currently works at our state Joint Force Headquarters as a Chief Warrant Officer in charge of property accountability.

He was saved on December 28, 1986 while attending a church in Durham. After graduating from NC State, he moved to High Point, NC where he began attending a church with a vibrant singles ministry. His relationship with Jesus and understanding of scriptures began to grow while attending Bible studies and other singles events. It was in this singles group that he met his wife, Dee. They were married in 1989.

In 1995, his work brought them back to this area and they have been attending Colonial since that time. He and Dee have taught children’s Sunday school and he has served in AWANA and coached Upward Basketball.  They are currently attending the Devoted 2:42 ABF.

Their family moved to Fuquay-Varina in 2004 and their 3 children, Aubrey (16) and Olivia (14) attend Fuquay-Varina High School, and Owen (11) attends West Lake Middle School.

Charles’ favorite Bible verse is Philippians 1:21: “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”
