David Clark grew up in a military family and has lived in Florida, Alaska, and Germany, but he spent his growing-up years in Virginia. He moved his family to Cary in 1995 to work in the RTP.

He is married to Mary K, a preacher’s kid, who is a registered nurse. They have three children: Ben who is a junior at Apex High School and active in the AOIT Technology program; Timothy is in the 8th grade at Apex Middle School and plays in the band—he is also active in Boys Scouts; and Joanna who is a 6th grader at Apex Middle School and is currently learning the cello—she also loves horses.

As a child David felt the call to commit his life to Jesus. The Holy Spirit moved in him to make a lasting decision to follow Him.

They have been attending Colonial for 15 years and have been involved in numerous ministries: Worship (choir, orchestra, and praise band), ABFs, Men’s Ministry, Student & Children’s Ministries, Carpenters for Christ, Jobseekers, and Boy Scouts.

His favorite scripture is Psalm 150: “Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty expanse. Praise Him for His mighty deeds; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness. Praise Him with trumpet sound; Praise Him with harp and lyre. Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe. Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!”
